How SAVO works
Where prices come from
SAVO reads each shop's own public pages: whole category lists twice a day, and a product's own page before we call a shop the cheapest or post a drop. We follow every shop's robots.txt, wait between pages, and say who we are (SAVO). Shops that block automatic reading are left alone.
When a shop is called the cheapest
Only when its price was read on its own product page in the last 24 hours, at the same price as its list. Model numbers printed by the shops must not contradict each other, and a gap of 40% or more waits for a person to check it. Anything else is shown as the shop's listed price, with when we saw it.
How products are matched
By brand and model, keeping editions, sizes and colours apart (an "OC" graphics card is not the plain one; 30 ml is not 50 ml). Uncertain pairs wait for a person.
Hotels
A stay is compared in full — room, VAT and service charge — on ShareTrip, on GoZayaan for the towns it covers, and on the hotel's own site where it publishes prices in taka with VAT included.
What we store
Prices and stock of products. About visitors, only anonymous counts: we run Umami on our own server — no cookies, no IP addresses kept, nothing shared with Google or Meta — and we respect Do Not Track. There is no account on this website. Telegram alerts need only your Telegram id and what you track; /delete in the bot removes it all.
